Dual Role - Adult Support at The Cavern & Off site

Dual Role – Adult Support at The Cavern & Off site  Support at The Cavern provides listening support, low level interventions such as board games and crafts. Offers a supportive environment in a person-centred way.. We help people (18+) feel less isolated, cope with anxiety, meet new people and provide support at a time of day when little low level or early intervention support is available from the statutory services (6-10pm). We are funded by Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board for this service and we work closely with a wide range of statutory mental health services to ensure a joined up approach.  In addition to our work at The Cavern, we now extend our support to individuals accessing emergency health care in the community  (6-11pm). In this fast-paced environment, our support workers play a crucial role in identifying and assisting those who are anxious, distressed, or in need of reassurance. By offering practical help, emotional support, and a compassionate presence, we aim to reduce stress and promote a sense of calm. Our collaboration with partnership staff ensures that the support provided is integrated with their overall care, using a trauma-informed approach. Our team of support workers provides non-clinical, early intervention and prevention services. Our goal is to help people navigate challenging situations, access the resources they need, prevent further escalation, provide reassurance, and ultimately improve their mental well-being. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience of supporting people with mental health issues. More importantly than that they will have a passion for seeing people become the best they can be. Passionate about being a part of someone’s journey to better their lives, learning new skills and building healthier relationships. They will have excellent people skills and good communication skills. All applicants will be required to undergo a Enhanced DBS check and must provide two references before a start date can be arranged.
