Job Description-
Adult Support at The Cavern and Emergency Department
The Adult Support team provides calm, compassionate, non-clinical support to adults (18+) experiencing emotional distress, loneliness or anxiety. This is between 6pm and 10pm at The Cavern and 6-11pm at the Emergency Department. At The Cavern, support workers create a safe and welcoming space through listening, informal activities like board games and crafts, and gentle encouragement; helping people feel less isolated and more connected. In the Emergency Department, staff provide reassurance and practical help to individuals in acute emotional distress, working in partnership with clinical teams to ensure a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
