Isla Tiller-Gunasingha

Youth Lead
Isla has over 20 years of extensive experience working with young people with complex needs, particularly in home-based settings, with a strong focus on trauma and attachment. She has worked closely alongside a wide range of professionals, ensuring that support is well coordinated and centred around the needs of each young person.

She has a strong background in mental health and safeguarding and is known for her calm, consistent approach, maintaining clear boundaries while keeping the young person at the centre of all decision making.

Isla has been the Youth Lead at Treasure Seekers for nearly four years, where she has shaped the youth mental health service into a warm, grounded, safeguarding-led space for young people.

She is a passionate advocate for child voice and is deeply committed to building resilience in young people, helping them develop the confidence, skills and stability needed for long term, sustainable change. Her practice is rooted in building trust, creating safety and supporting young people to navigate challenges with increasing independence.

Outside of her professional role, Isla enjoys cooking Sri Lankan curries and spending time walking in the woods with her dog.
