John Tiller

Senior Youth Mental Health Support Worker
John brings a wealth of practical and therapeutic experience to his work with young people. His background spans school settings and specialist care environments, where he has developed a strong understanding of attachment, trauma, and safeguarding.

He has a particular interest in real-world, practical approaches, especially through gardening, nature-based work, and building projects. John believes strongly in the value of learning through doing, supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of achievement through meaningful, everyday skills.

Alongside this, his experience in scouting and outdoor activities informs his approach to engagement, using play, challenge, and shared experiences to support emotional development and connection.

John’s style is calm, grounded, and relational. He is particularly effective with young people who benefit from structure, creativity, and alternative approaches to support.

Outside of work, John enjoys playing guitar and watching Star Wars.
