The Basement is a calming, youth-focused space located underneath The Cavern, connected to The Studio at 52 Westgate Street, Gloucester. With its floral-inspired theme and comfortable layout, it’s designed to feel safe and welcoming. This space is primarily used for youth activities but can also be booked for private events. The Basement is home to Youth Support at The Cavern, our free evening drop-in session for young people aged 13–17. This is a safe space to play games, hang out with friends, and enjoy milkshakes and snacks. We also have a fantastic team on hand 365 days a year to offer a listening ear, mentoring, and support to anyone who needs it—no referrals required.
The Basement has its own discreet entrance from College Street for under-18s, ensuring privacy and safety. If you’re unsure where to go, our friendly team in The Cavern coffee shop will be happy to guide you. While The Basement is a youth-only space, if you’d like to view it beforehand with a parent or carer, we can arrange this during the day.
